The Pam Rogers Ladies Day tournament is an event held annually in the memory of Pam Rogers. Pam Rogers (and her husband David) joined Wombourne Tennis club in 1987, following many years as active players and social members of Linden Lea Tennis club.
Pam soon integrated herself fully into the club, taking on a number of roles including treasurer, tournament co-ordinator and ball monitor, to name but a few. Pam was however best known for introducing Ladies Day to the club, which was traditionally held on a Thursday in August.
The club ladies come together to play a tennis tournament, breaking off at lunch time to enjoy the fabulous array of food they have brought with them, and of course to enjoy a glass of wine (and always in the sun!).
The Pam Rogers Ladies Day Cup is held in memory of Pam and all she did for the club.
